Cornbread is one of the most delightful dogs you’ll ever meet. Although he’s said to be 10 years old, he sure doesn’t act it. He’s quite spry for an old man. He can easily get himself up on the furniture or bed to be with his people. Which is his most favorite thing in the world, just being with his people. He’s like to be a lap dog, and jumps straight up and settles in, no pawing, climbing or kneading needed. And at only 24 lbs, he’s not too big to achieve his dreams of being a lap dog. Plus, you’ll love stroking his soft coat.
Cornbread is an affectionate guy, well behaved and good with other dogs, and cats even. He also loves to go for walks, and he walks nicely on lead. He’s content to just hang out in the backyard too.
Unfortunately, Cornbread does have flea and skin allergies. He needs to be kept on flea preventative, and have frequent medicated baths. This sweet boy also needs some help with house-training. He urinates quite frequently, and sometimes forgets to go outside to do it. Belly bands would be perfect for this guy if he can’t be taken out frequently.

Senior Dogs are Special!
And there are tons of reasons to adopt senior dogs. Such as 10 Reasons to Adopt Older Dogs. We here at The Foster Pack have a soft spot for senior shelter dogs. Old dogs are great! Senior dogs (10 years +) make up over half of our pack.. They are such sweet souls!
And tons of senior dogs spending their golden years in shelters all of the time. We want to help get them out.
So we’re going to feature a new senior shelter dog every week. And we try to find the ones who have been waiting for their forever families for the longest.
