Fundraising for Animals shouldn’t be limited to just events, bake sales and selling candy bars. We all get tired of the normal stuff. But there are lots of other ways to raise funds for your animal rescue group. If you don’t want to do a big fundraising event, or sell another batch of sub sandwiches, how about a Dinner for a Week Fundraiser raffle. No event needed, and these tickets will sell themselves.
Dinner for a Week Fundraiser
The Dinner for a Week Fundraiser is a raffle that’s pretty easy to set up. All you need is to get seven restaurants to donate dinner for two. If your animal rescue group is a 501c3 non-profit, remember to remind the donors that their donation is tax deductible.
Also since this is a raffle fundraiser, always make sure to check your local laws to see if you are required to have a small games of chance license before setting up your raffle.
Then you sell raffle tickets for a week of eating out. Tickets should go for at least $30+ each, depending on the restaurants. Which is really cheap for a chance to win the luxury of an entire week of eating out.
Don’t forget to advertise your tickets on your website and social media pages, and you should be able to sell a lot of tickets quickly and easily. Who doesn’t want to eat out every night for a week. A prize like that would interest lots of people.
Dinner for a Week Fundraiser Variations:
If you don’t want to get restaurants to donate the meals, how about having seven volunteers each cook up a meal, that freezes well, and raffle off a weeks worth of home-cooked meals. A Home-Cooked Dinner for a Week Fundraising Raffle.
It’s an easy fundraiser that can help your group raise funds. And it doesn’t require a ton of volunteer power to make a Dinner for a Week Fundraiser a success. Don’t forget to stop back and let me know how your fundraiser went!
