Let’s Get Shelby Adopted, 4 yr old Beagle mix, Long Term Shelter Resident.  Let’s help Shelby find her forever home!

Meet Shelby, she’s a 4 year old Beagle mix that is a long term resident at Orphans of the Storm (No Kill) Animal Shelter located in Kittanning, PA.  Just northeast of Pittsburgh.  Shelby is a very friendly girl, who loves to go for walks with the volunteers.  She also loves to get some rubs and attention.  She’s used to older kids and would make a great family pet.

Shelby is on a special grain-free diet due to allergies.  She’s spayed and ready to find a family of her own, who will spoil her rotten.

Because sweet Shelby is a long term shelter resident, her adoption fee, to an approved home, has been paid for by generous donors.  All she needs is someone to love her.

Don’t let this little girl spend more years in the shelter!

Know of a long term shelter animal?

As a foster mom for a local No Kill shelter, I’ve seen first hand the differences between a dog when he’s in a shelter, as to in a loving home.  And there is a big difference!

I hate to see animals spend a long time at the shelter.  Patiently waiting for the perfect forever family to find them.  And nothing makes us happier than knowing a dog that has spent months or even years at a shelter has finally found his/her forever home.

So here is our first post to get some of these long term shelter dogs adopt. I’m hoping to turn it into a regular series, so if your shelter, or animal rescue has some long term shelter animals email us at: mamaminion @ thisdomain and we’ll do a write up on them too!
