ADOPTED! St. Mary wants to be your one and only!

St. Mary wants to be your girl!

This sweet, low maintenance senior girl was found in the overnight drop pen one morning at a shelter in Hughesville, MD.  She was terrified when the staff found her in the morning.  And stay terrified for her entire stay at the shelter.  Luckily, her luck changed when The Boxer Transfer Network pulled her out of the oh-so-scary shelter as soon as they were able.

A sweet and low maintenance girl she is too!  She’s already spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, micro chipped and ready to go home with you!

St. Mary loves people.  But she’s not a big fan of small children, cats or even other dogs.  She wants to be your one and only pet so that she gets all of your attention.  After what she’s been through, she deserves to be spoiled for the rest of her life.

And her name fits her well.  Just look at how majestic she is!

Senior Dogs are Special!

We here at The Foster Pack have a soft spot for senior shelter dogs.  Old dogs are great! Senior dogs (10 years +) make up over half of our pack..  They are such sweet souls!

And there are tons of reasons to adopt senior dogs.  Such as 10 Reasons to Adopt Older Dogs.

And tons of senior dogs spending their golden years in shelters all of the time.  We want to help get them out.

So we’re going to feature a new senior shelter dog every week.

Wow – the idea of featuring a new senior dog every week is really incredible! It’s people like you who change pet’s lives!
It’s so hard to think that people could just give up (or worse, abandon) their animals – it’s nice to know that drop pens exist so the animal isn’t just put out on the street! How scary it must have been for her – I hope sweet St. Mary has found a home!
